God loves You!

Last Saturday we had three treasure hunts in the wider area of Stuttgart.
Manuel and his team were on the move in Metzingen.
Here comes a shortened version of their encounters:
„…it started in a peculiar way, fish and lion on our treasure maps, we found two sculptors, God touched them. We went on. It was so easy. In the cinema we could pray for two girls who sold tickets and popcorn – one of them was an atheist. We then went to a “kebab’s” and could explain the gospel to three Muslims and give them an understanding of Jesus. In a “Nike’s Outlet“, another Muslim was found as treasure. We talked about Jesus – which made him thoughtful and he was noticeably touched. Afterwards, we encountered two girls, one of them had a broken shinbone, we prayed for her. Both had tears in their eyes. Two “cool” boys, abutting their car, when I told them: “Jesus loves You!” Then I told them about me, what I had done wrong and how God pulled me out of it all and changed me. They were really moved. Then there was another treasure: a young couple with black backpack in front of the pharmacy. Theo asked: “Could it be that you are looking for an apprenticeship place?” This was right on, we could pray for him. I think it came across that this was a great treasure hunt. Everything matched perfectly; we met at least 20 people within 2 hours….”

I would now like to recall an event that took place a little longer ago:
“One who was there had been an invalid for thirty-eight years. When Jesus saw him lying there and learned that he had been in this condition for a long time, he asked him, ‘Do you want to get well?’ ‘Sir,’ the invalid replied, ‘I have no one to help me into the pool when the water is stirred.’ … Then Jesus said to him, ‘Get up! Pick up your mat and walk.’ At once the man was cured…” (John 5, 5-9).
Manuel reported: “At least 20 people within 2 hours”. What’s special about it: Each person is just like the needy man 2000 years ago. At the moment of the encounter, Jesus only sees him! Only Your concern, Your needs, You as a person. Others might just pass by you, or have a goal-oriented concern at most – but Jesus sees You and he loves You! There is nothing more soothing, more salutary…
