8.10.2016 Five treasure hunts – Jesus loves You!

„Then, leaving her water jar, the woman went back to the town and said to the
people, ‘Come, see a man who told me everything I’ve ever done. Could this be the
Messiah?’ … And many more became believers and said: ‘We no longer believe just
because of what you said; now we have heard for ourselves, and we know that this
man really is the Saviour of the world.’” (John 4,28-29 and 41-42)
Last Saturday, treasure hunts took place in Kirchheim,
Esslingen, Reutlingen, Leonberg and Ludwigsburg.
Jesus is there – in each and every encounter with people. Even today, he talks to
people by using us, the treasure hunters. It’s because he’s still the same and wants
to talk to people, just how he spoke to the woman at Jacob’s well. On Sunday, Pastor
Peter talked about having our thoughts filled with Jesus’ thoughts by his Word and
through the Holy Spirit. That’s why it’s in no way presumptuous to go out with this
kind of mentality – we are his voice. It’s also confirmed by all those amazing
encounters that we have. Ralf reports: “We had discovered a treasure in front of the
cinema. So we addressed the couple and talked about God’s love. However, they
were not really interested and didn’t want prayer, since everything seemed all right
in their lives. So we retreated and prayed for them while standing some distance off.
Two minutes later, while still praying, the woman returned.
Tearfully, she told us about a colleague at work. Not long ago, he fainted while at work. A cerebral vein
had burst. He was operated on and from that time on has been in a coma. What this
woman didn’t know: The healing of the day was: ‘Pain in the head’.”
Jesus emphatically talks to the woman at Jacob’s well, showing appreciation for her,
and she understands … then, she tells people in the city, they come and
People today shall hear … then they return and understand… “Jesus loves You”
